MINIATURE POODLES
Miniature Poodles are intelligent and loving dogs. These dogs fit into a small apartment with ease. They make great family dogs, and have a love of games and a goofy personality. Poodles are proud and regal in their appearance, and their fur is easy to maintain. If you are looking for a hypoallergenic dog for a sensitive person in your household, but don’t have a lot of space, the Miniature Poodle is great choice.

COAT AND GROOMING

The coat is one of this dog's most incredible features and regular brushing keeps the coat healthy and tangle free. A Poodle has hair as opposed to fur and it is naturally curly and very dense. The hair does not shed (fall to the ground)...it falls over onto itself, one of the reasons why the coat must be brushed often if it is left to grow long.

ENERGY AND EXERCISE
Miniature Poodles need a daily walk. They will also enjoy a good romp in a safe, open area off lead, such as a large, fenced-in yard. Able to walk longer distances than the toy, daily walks should be given to ensure good health and a nice run in an enclosed yard is usually welcomed. When a dog is not given enough exercise, behavioral issues can develop. They are a very versatile breed
with a hunting and retrieving beginning, although they excel in any performance event you offer them, including agility, obedience, and rally. They adore water and love sessions of play. Since they love water they are great dock diving dogs and love water retrieving. Poodles can be trained with great success. They make loyal pets and intelligent agility dogs.

TEMPERAMENT
This breed is known for its intelligence and generally does very well with house training and command training. Despite its size, the mini can be a great watchdog by alerting you to the presence of strangers on the property with its sharp bark.

children must be taught how to properly handle them during care and play.
