CAVAPOOS
The Cavapoo is a designer crossbreed dog; the offspring of a Poodle and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Cavapoos were created to be hypoallergenic/low-shed dogs so they are the ideal companion for people with allergies. They are friendly and have a very sweet disposition. The Cavapoo is a small dog with features that may resemble either the poodle or the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. All of our Cavapoos are bred using miniature Poodles. Their size usually varies between 12-16 inches and 11-22 lbs. Cavapoos are generally easy to train. It is important that consistency is kept. We have found that our Cavapoos house train fairly easy as the training process is started at our kennel and when consistency is kept they potty train quickly. They do not respond well to harsh treatment. Cavapoos are also known to make good therapy dogs
as they are loyal, very social and kind. Cavapoos are also good watchdogs, making sure their owner is
warned of arriving visitors. Aside from this task, Cavapoos are not excessive barkers.

COAT AND GROOMING
Cavapoos are considered a low-maintenance crossbreed. A weekly brush will keep their coat healthy and prevent knots. They may have a wavy or silky coat that can come in different colors: Chestnut, White, Black, Gold, Chestnut and White (Blenheim), Black/White/Tan (Tri-Color). Being a crossbreed, every dogs coat is unique. Some may have longer hair requiring a little more grooming and a monthly trim may be beneficial. Cavapoos have a tendency for having tear stains. They should be cleaned with a damp cloth when needed. Teeth brushing, ear cleaning and the

WHY A CAVAPOO??
Cavapoos usually live to be 13-15 years old. They are the hybrid cross between a purebred Cavalier with a registered Miniature Poodle. This cross produces puppies that pull the best genetics from both breeds. They will have less tendency to have health problems because they are a mixed breed. This is due to the "hybrid vigour" that allows them to grow healthier and live longer. While many purebreds may be prone to genetic diseases inherent to that breed, the only genetic diseases the hybrids can be prone to are those shared by both parents. Poodles are very low to non-shedding and this trait carries over in the cross, making these dogs ideal for owners with allergies or for those wanting little to no dog hair in the house. Being a crossbreed, the puppies can look like either parent but they generally fall somewhere in-between.
